1、 Den

Formation reasons:Resin mixed with oil or other insoluble liquid impurities.

Solution:Oil insoluble resin, strict control of each link. Keep tools clean

 

Formation reasons:The substrate is not dry enough or the substrate surface contains oily material.

Solution:The substrate is not dry enough, which will affect the even distribution of the resin on its surface, so it is necessary to do a good job of baking the substrate.Surface cleaning can be properly wiped with acetone or other volatile solvents.

 

Formation reasons:Environmental effects, such as air humidity.

Solution:Keep your work environment as dry as possible.

 

2、 Needle eye

Formation reasons:Gelation time too fast.

Solution:Reduce the amount of accelerant and curing agent。

 

Formation reasons:Too many solvents (including styrene) in the resin.

Solution:Resin can be diluted with styrene, adding about 2%, try not to add other solvents.

 

Formation reasons:The substrate is loose and the surface is rough.

Solution:Pay attention to the selection of substrate and surface treatment.

 

Formation reasons:The exothermic peak is too low, causing bubbles to remain.

Solution:Increase the proportion of curing agent appropriately.

 

3、 Bubble

Formation reasons:Substrate is not dry enough. If the substrate is not dry enough, with a long time, water will precipitate, break through the binding force of the resin in the substrate, forming bubbles.

Solution:Baking as far as possible to take a low temperature, baking time enough, as far as possible to reduce the moisture content.

 

Formation reasons:The surface of the substrate is not clean, affecting the adhesion of the resin and the substrate. Local part is easy to separate.

Solution:After the surface is polished, acetone or other volatile solvents can be used to wipe it properly.

 

Formation reasons:A solvent that does not participate in the reaction is added to the resin. The solvent remains in the resin after curing, and then vaporizes to separate the resin layer from the substrate.

Solution:Resin can be diluted with styrene, adding about 2%, try not to add other solvents. 

 

Formation reasons:Polishing too early. Resin is not completely cured, easy to destroy the binding force of resin and substrate.

Solution:Resin polishing should be carried out 24 hours after resin curing.

 

4、 Separation layer

Formation reasons:The gelation time is too fast, the coating surface is too brittle, easy to fall off.

Solution:Adjust the dosage of accelerant and curing agent, the gelling time is generally in 30 minutes.

 

Formation reasons:The substrate surface is not clean.

Solution:After the surface is polished, acetone or other volatile solvents can be used to wipe it properly.

 

Formation reasons:High humidity of substrate.

Solution:If the substrate is not dry enough, with a long time, water will be separated through the capillary, break through the adhesive force of resin and substrate, so that resin separation.

 

Formation reasons:Polishing too early, the destruction of resin adhesion to the substrate.

Solution:Resin polishing should be carried out 24 hours after resin curing.

 

5、Burst

Formation reasons:The gelation time is too fast, the coating surface is too brittle, poor toughness.

Solution:Adjust the dosage of accelerant and curing agent, the gelling time is generally in 30 minutes.

 

Formation reasons:Temperature effects.

Solution:If your local weather is cold,should use antifreeze resin, such as Model 399, 399A.

 

6、The flow adjustment

Formation reasons:Gelation time too fast.

Solution:Reduce the curing ratio.

 

Formation reasons:The substrate is rough and not polished enough.

Solution:When producing, the surface must be polished and cleaned.

 

7、Bad surface hardness

Formation reasons:The amount of curing agent is insufficient. The amount of curing agent should not be too less, easy to cause bad curing, poor hardness, wear resistance and other phenomena.

Solution:Use more accurate measurement tools, curing agent is generally maintained at more than 1%.

 

Formation reasons:Curing agent is of poor quality. Bad curing agent quality will cause bad curing, poor hardness, wear-resisting and other phenomena.

Solution:The surface coating resin should use a good quality curing agent, the use of auxiliary materials should be carried out some basic performance tests to measure the quality of the material.

 

8、High viscosity

Formation reasons:Too long storage time

Solution:Blend with 2% styrene or use as soon as possible.
